Parashift company update January 2019
Unfortunately, I have not been able to write much for the past 30 days. There are two reasons that are quite good for us; it’s going too much and as a team we are currently working on the expansion enormously.
In the last few weeks, we have been able to commit to different new people. I would like to present them to you personally in the next few weeks. All in all, we have 3 new developers in the team and are in the final stages of the negotiation with an additional person in the machine learning team. Also, regarding our key position of Head of Sales & Business Development a final list of candidates.
What I am particularly pleased about: there are certainly more pleasant and better-positioned companies for high-tech jobs, but we still have an enormous number of applications. And the candidates we are allowed to speak with are here for the right reasons – they want to make a difference and are ready to take the risk (and if we are successful too, to benefit disproportionately). We had several candidates who come from high-paying but super-boring and probably also for them meaningless jobs to us and are satisfied with a third of the salary. This is what makes it possible for us to start really great and experienced people onboard. Because of the “right” reasons to be with us seems to be more and more a decisive factor of success.
We’re also on track with the completion of our SaaS Product Parashift Platform. Although we did not save much time compared to our planning, the development is promising. Again and again I learn what a huge advantage it is to be able to start on the white sheet. To charge ourselves as little technical debt as possible is one of the highest priorities.
The API products are experiencing quite a stir without any significant “ad-donation”. We have been able to develop a large number of qualified leads in the last 4 weeks and I almost do not get along with the processing. To remedy the situation, an experienced Solution Specialist strengthens our team from March.
“Parashift Cluster for Partners”
We are learning more and more that integrators and partners want to use our cluster to learn other, partly exotic, document types. Our cluster is prepared for this and we can offer a corresponding product offering in the coming months. Since we build all products in a decentralized overall architecture, the different products can also be connected accordingly. In addition, we are rebuilding the infrastructure so that you can choose processing and storage location per country. We do not know anything comparable on the market and receive a lot of support from some of the very important players in the market. It’s great to get so much input and advice from partners.
We also realize that it makes sense for the integrators to set up an appropriately formalized partner program. The basic decision has already been made, but I think it will take us several months to learn exactly how it should be designed. If you have input, you are welcome to speak with me.
