In the document type editor, you simply upload your individual sample document. The next step is to create a data model. With the data model, you indicate which data should be readout. Define the data fields that should be extracted from the documents. Add fields of a certain type, rearrange them or use sections to logically group or delete fields. Depending on what needs to be extracted, you can choose from over 200 pre-trained and ready-to-use extractors, i.e. standard models such as for IBAN numbers. If required, it is of course also possible to create your own individual models, for example for internal reference numbers, or to standardize date formats, depending on the country. Furthermore, lower and upper confidence thresholds can be defined. These are essential for the validation of the data.

After the simple creation of this example document, a few documents are sent through the platform as a training run. The data is annotated, which means that the machine in the background is shown which data points belong to which predefined fields, for example, reference XYZ is assigned to reference XYZ in the document. In this way, the models are trained in the shortest possible time, and the next documents already run through automatically. Thanks to advanced AI technologies, intelligent machine learning-based OCR (Optical Character Recognition), and Swarm Learning technology, performance is continuously improving with more processed and validated data from these individual documents that you’ve created yourself in the document type editor.
